We collect as little as we can.

What we store

• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and the topics you chose, so a provider can send those briefings once one is connected. We do not send email until then.
• Rate limiting: a one-way hash of your IP address, kept briefly, to stop abuse. We do not store your raw IP address for this.
• Reading counts: a total view count per story. It is not linked to you.
• Admin accounts (staff only): name, email and a password hash.

Your theme choice and browser-alert preferences are stored in your browser only.

Your rights

You can ask us to remove your newsletter details at any time via the contact address shown here once the site owner sets one.
